There’s even bigger money on Saturday and Sunday. The Box class has a $5,000-to-win race on each day and No Box racers are competing for $2,000 winner’s purses. There’s a $100 single-day entry fee for the Box class and $190 for the weekend package or $350 for the double weekend. It’s $80 one day in No Box, $160 for the weekend or $275 for the double-weekend package.
Friday’s Gamblers races are free with the purchase of a weekend package. There’s also a $1,400-to-win Second Chance race Saturday following the main event with a $65 entry. Junior Dragsters will also compete Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to all that, racers in Box, No Box, Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks on Saturday. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.
Exciting opportunities await as racers can gain entry to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering by winning Saturday’s main event in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (an IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or Sportsman Spectacular) before the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Current IHRA membership is required.
