Racers in Box, No Box, Street and Motorcycle classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.
They can gain entry to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering by winning Saturday’s main event in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (an IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or Sportsman Spectacular) before the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Current IHRA membership is required.
IHRA Director of Racer Relations Staci Kettles will be on site to help with memberships.
The No Box class plays $2,500 to the winner, while the Box features a $2,000-to-win race. Both classes have a $50 entry fee. The Street class has a $1,000 payout to the winning driver with a $40 entry. It’s $20 to enter the Motorcycle race which offers a 100 percent payback.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with time trials at 6 p.m. and first round at 8 p.m. Keep up with the latest happenings at River Road Raceway by clicking here to check out the track’s Facebook page.
