Trio Claim Wins During Gambler’s Race at IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Drivers from I-64 Motorplex, Mountain Park Dragway and Fayetteville Motorsports Park were the Gambler’s Race winners Friday at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit World Finals at Memphis International Raceway.
Winners in the Top and Mod divisions earned a $1,000 payout while the Junior Dragster winner took home $700.
 
Charlie Bellomy from Huntington, W. Va., representing I-64 Motorplex took home the Top (Box) Gambler’s Race. Bellomy went down the track with 5.57-second pass with a .006 reaction time at 122.23 mph on a 5.56 dial-in. A.J. Casini from Hunker, Pa., representing Keystone Raceway Park had a .018 reaction time. He posted a 5.58-second run at 122.11 mph on a 5.58 dial-in.

In the Mod (No Box) final, Timmy Roe from Paris, Ky., representing Mountain Park Dragway defeated Nathon Schroeder from Fulton, Ill., representing Cordova International Raceway.  Roe went down the track with a 6.45-second pass coupled with a .014 reaction time at 103.32 mph. Schroeder had a quicker but losing 6.01-second pass with a .010 reaction time at 112.20 mph.

Connor Caulder from Saint Paul, N.C., representing Fayetteville Motorsports Park won the Junior Dragster Gambler’s Race. Caulder had a 7.95-second pass coupled with a .052 at 78.98 mph. Kyla Feit from Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., posted a 7.90-second pass with a .104 reaction time at 81.53 mph.

Hundreds of Summit SuperSeries track champions, along with Summit Team Finals divisional champions from around the United States and Canada, will compete tomorrow for the largest and most prestigious bracket racing national championship in drag racing.
 
The championship prize package in Top and Mod is $20,000-to-win, trip for two to Aruba courtesy of Around Aruba Tours and more! $7,000 goes to runner-up. Other payoffs include: $2,000 for sixth round, $1,000 for fifth round, $700 for fourth round, $600 for third round, $400 for second round and $300 for first round.
 
The Junior Dragster championship payout is a brand-new, turn-key American Race Car complete with the Computech Data Maxx Jr. data logger and paint scheme designed by Imagine That Customs plus $3,000-to-win. It is $2,000 for the runner-up, $1,000 for sixth round, $800 for fifth round, $500 for fourth round, $400 for third round, $350 for second round and $300 for first round.
