Feit was exceptional at the starting line in last year’s IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. She had reaction times of .001 and .002 in the first two rounds on her way to winning the $3,000 top prize and a new turn-key Junior Dragster, complete with a unique paint scheme by Jerron Settles of Imagine That Customs.

The 15-year-old from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., has driven the new car at some Midwestern tracks. For the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals, she is trying duplicate last year’s success with the familiar 2012 Halfscale Junior Dragster she drove to the 2018 championship.

“We’ve been working on the new car, getting it dialed-in this season,” she said. “It’s been running very well and the car is absolutely amazing. It’s cool to have two cars. Not many people can say that.”  

Feit qualified for this year’s World Finals as the track champion at Wisconsin International Raceway. She qualified the previous year by winning the championship at the historic Great Lakes Dragaway.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity of coming back to Memphis again,” she said. “Winning another track championship is very cool.”

She’s not the only IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion heading to Memphis.

Chris “Bubba” Black, the 2017 IHRA Mod champion, qualified by winning the track championship at Quaker City Motorsports Park. 

After driving his 1988 Chevrolet S-10 to the 2017 world title, he was extremely grateful for the prize package of a $20,000 check from Summit Racing Equipment, an eight-day/seven-night vacation for two in Aruba and a World Championship diamond ring. 

He was particularly thrilled about the IHRA World Championship Ironman trophy because it represents being the best of over 12,000 IHRA member-track racers at nearly 100 IHRA-sanctioned member tracks.

“It’s humbling and unreal,” Black said after his 2017 victory. “You’ve got the best of the best here. I love all the prizes, but I’m most proud of that Ironman trophy.”

A pair of other champions will be making the trek from South Florida.

Johnny Tolisano, the 2014 IHRA Junior Dragster champion, earned his way into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals by virtue of his Top championship at Palm Beach International Raceway.

Tim Butler, the 2012 Top world champion, will be competing in the Mod division. He earned his third straight track championship at Immokalee (Fla.) Regional Raceway.
