It was also announced that another Alabama track, Holiday Raceway and I-22 Motorsports Park, have joined the IHRA family. This is a state that had no IHRA-sanctioned facilities two years ago. In the last month, other Alabama tracks, Baileyton “Good Time” Drag Strip and Huntsville Dragway, have teamed up with the IHRA.
Over the last month, we’ve been fortunate to add new tracks in Ohio and Tennessee and welcome an old friend, Albuquerque Dragway in New Mexico, back to the IHRA. Track renewals from other great facilities in Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana and both of the Carolinas have been reported.
From the East Coast to NITRO Motorsports Park in Western Canada, the IHRA still has a broad footprint across North America with more track signings coming soon.
Sunoco Race Fuels and RedTide Canopies are just a couple of partner agreements we’ve posted with other huge ones coming over the next few weeks. We’ve also revealed extra prizes for our 2023 IHRA World Champions to be crowned at Holly Springs, Mississippi.
Listening to our racers, there has been the addition of a new Motorcycle class.
There’s also recent news of Christopher Eager and Cody Pollage as division directors and Heather Roth as IHRA Membership Coordinator. The team is in place, racing programs are being finalized and more exciting announcements are coming soon.
We’re thankful to end 2022 on such a positive note and know we couldn’t do it without the support of our great partners, IHRA-member tracks and the racers, who we ultimately work for.
