Racers still have the opportunity to sign up for IHRA membership. You must be an IHRA member to be eligible for an IHRA SuperSeries track championship and qualify for the 2023 World Finals which feature over $275,000 in prizes and payouts.
Three Virginia tracks host Division 1 (Patriots) races on Saturday. They include the scenic Elk Creek Dragway, Motor Mile Dragway and Custom T’s Motorsports.
Holly Springs Motorsports, site of the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals, hosts a Division 2 (Heat Wave) race on Saturday. Heading North from the Mississippi track, Music City Racway outside Nashville, Beacon Dragway in Kentucky and Jeffers Motorsports Park in Missouri also have Division 2 races on tap.
Pacemaker Outlaws Motorsports Park has two days of Division 3 (North Stars) action scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Also in the state of Ohio, KD Motorsports Park has IHRA Summit SuperSeries races on Saturday.
They say everything is bigger in Texas and good turnouts are expected Saturday with Division 4 (Renegades) races at Amarillo Dragway and Paris Dragstrip. In the Hoosier State, known as a haven for all forms of motorsports, historic tracks Bunker Hill Dragstrip and US 41 Dragstrip bring Division 5 (Thunder) action to Indiana.
Further West, the beautiful Onawa Dragway in Iowa has its Division 6 (Midwest) races on Saturday. Making the big loop back East, the always popular Brainerd Motorsports Park in Georgia and Baileyton “Good Time” Dragstrip in Alabama are hosting Division 8 (South) events.
The action also includes Shadyside Dragway in North Carolina with a Division 9 (Raiders) race on Saturday.
