The International Hot Rod Association Summit Sportsman Spectacular makes its debut this weekend (April 20-22) at State Capitol Raceway in Port Allen, La. This is the opening weekend for the new 20-race series designed to be affordable for grassroots, bracket-racing competitors who support their local tracks.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The International Hot Association (IHRA) Summit SuperSeries program crowns a true Top (Box), Mod (No Box) and Junior Dragster World Champion each year.

The two ways to qualify for the annual IHRA Summit World Finals held in October at Memphis International Raceway are to win the IHRA Summit SuperSeries track championship at one of the participating IHRA member tracks or by winning the IHRA Summit Team Finals in your division.

Many tracks held banquets to recognize their 2017 IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champions including those featured here from Mo-Kan Dragway, Asbury, Missouri.

An extensive grinding and resurfacing of the track is currently underway at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioned track in West Salem, Ohio. It is taking away all the bumps which had made it tough to race on and the end product should be one of the smoothest surfaces around.
