Penwell Knights Raceway will host the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular opener March 16. Racers in Box, No Box, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Keith Starr has a vision for Wichita Raceway Park and the International Hot Rod Association plays prominently into that role.

Starr, who has been involved with WRP the last six years, took over as owner of the 1/8-mile drag strip in North Texas in January. He has specific plans in the short term and some exciting ideas long range for a track just 13 miles from the Oklahoma state line.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is highlighting the talented youth across the country in a special series about those who race Junior Dragsters.

Evelynn David, a 10-year-old from New Lenox, Ill., is part of a family of racers with her papaw, dad and brother known as Tuffguy Racing. She will move up to 8.90 class this season at Bunker Hill Dragstrip.

TIMBERLAKE, N.C. — Roxboro Motorsports Park has been providing great racing action since 1959.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioned track near the North Carolina and Virginia border will do so again in 2024 during the 65th anniversary season. It gets off to a bang with a canned food drive and test-and-tune on March 2, a racer appreciation event on March 23 and the 65th annual Easter Bash from March 29-31.

LAKEVILLE, Ind. — Hoosier Racing Tire has joined the International Hot Rod Association as a major marketing partner for the IHRA Hot Rod Classic.

It includes posting in the Hot Rod Classic Championship Contingency Fund. IHRA Hot Rod Classic points winners who run Hoosier Drive Tires and two Hoosier tire decals all season will be eligible for the payouts.

STEELE, Ala. — Tickets go on sale Tuesday as Alabama International Dragway will host a blast from the past with the IHRA Hot Rod Classic on June 6-8.

History returns with ground-pounding Pro Mods, exciting classes like Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod, and Real Street N/T racing to win big money and incredible prizes like special black powder-coated IHRA Ironman trophies, specially-designed IHRA medals.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — It’s time to get back to the old-school action with extreme fun, amazing creativity and heart-pounding excitement just like the early days of the IHRA.

Check out the graphic as rules and payouts have been announced for the four races which will determine the 2024 IHRA Hot Rod Classic champion. While we love seeing the Camaros and Mustangs, we can’t wait to see some of the other great creations rocket down the drag strip live at the track and on the IHRA-TV channel on YouTube.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association is highlighting great Junior Dragster racers across North America. The latest is Maddie Winkle, nicknamed “Madditude,” an eight-year-old from Riner, Va.

Winkle is in her third year of competition, racing at home tracks of Elk Creek Dragway and Motor Mile Dragway. Her top goal is to make it to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Music City Raceway looks to follow up last year’s monster season with another great year with the International Hot Rod Association in 2024.

The Goodlettsville, Tenn., track drew a solid turnout whenever it hosted races in 2023. Racers from Music City also had a banner year under the IHRA programs. That was highlighted by Kane Austin, who rode his Suzuki to the Motorcycle title at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — Here’s a reminder for International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) member tracks. You have a fantastic opportunity to bring in a substantial amount of revenue through a unique IHRA promotion.

Thanks to IHRA partners Morrow Brothers Ford of Greenfield, Illinois and Extreme Racing Oils, IHRA member tracks will be given tickets to distribute for a chance to win a new Ford F150 crew cab XLT Sport truck with 4-wheel drive estimated valued at $60,000. This one-of-a-kind contest will be only held at IHRA-member tracks with more prizes to be announced soon.
