CLAY CITY, Ky. — Kentucky Dragway and the International Hot Rod Association will build on their long history together in 2024 and beyond.

Aaron Sipple and his wife, Carrie, operate the track located just off the Mountain Parkway at the foothills of Appalachia. There’s a sense of pride, but also responsibility. Aaron’s parents, the late John “Doc” Sipple and his loving wife Doris Sipple which is still with us, were the previous operators of the facility from 1991 to 2001.

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. — Ozark Raceway Park has agreed to a multi-year renewal with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) it was announced today.

Programs like the IHRA Summit SuperSeries, the most prestigious national championship in bracket racing, and the IHRA Ironman Classic have proven to be very popular with Ozark Raceway Park’s competitors.

HOLLY SPRINGS, Ms. — Holly Springs Motorsports Park has proven to be a favorite venue for International Hot Rod Association racers as it has hosted the IHRA Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals and IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering each of the last two years.

The North Mississippi track, known for its great hospitality and conveniently located off Interstate 22, has extended its partnership as an IHRA-member track with a multi-year sanctioning agreement.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — Dragway 42 certainly lived up to its reputation as a multi-purpose facility in 2023. The track, which recently renewed a multi-year IHRA sanctioning agreement, hosted music concerts, autocross, tractor pulls and more in addition to its great drag racing.

The West Salem, Ohio facility, which was purchased by Ron and Mary Anne Matcham in 2013 and underwent a major renovation in 2017, was transformed in July for the Dragway 42 Music Festival. It was headlined by such acts as Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick and Big and Rich.

XENIA, Ohio — Some of the most legendary names in motorsports have competed at Kil-Kare Raceway. But, the commitment to the grassroots, Sportsman racer is the reason for today’s announcement the historic facility has entered a multi-year sanctioning agreement with the International Hot Rod Association.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — Xtreme Raceway Park drivers made a huge impact at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

None more so than Jeromy Hefler, who overcome injuries months before to get back in the race car and qualify for the World Finals at the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and FuelTech hosted by Xtreme Raceway Park.

FERRIS, Texas — Xtreme Raceway Park was built by Pro Mod racer Clyde Scott who always kept the racer in mind. Keeping them in mind is a big reason the Texas track has extended its multi-year sanctioning agreement with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA).

With the love for the sport and support from the entire Scott family, Clyde gave it his all to build the nicest 1/8-mile track in the country. He succeeded with a track that features an all-concrete racing surface with concrete walls, multiple 82-inch televisions throughout the facility, nice bleachers on both sides of the track and a drive-under tower.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — A couple of familiar names ranked at the top of the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod (No Box) Top 10 list for 2023.

Wesley Lockhart, the IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champion at both Gleason Raceway Park and Beacon Dragway, capped off his monster year by winning the championship at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering. Lockhart had to beat defending IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion Grant Zimmerman in the final round.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Hoosier State produced the best IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman racers in 2023.

Aaron Richards, representing US 41 Dragstrip, won the Sportsman championship at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering. Gary Blankenship and Derek Simon from Muncie Dragway also had memorable trips to Mississippi.

EDINBURG, Texas — Edinburg Motorsports Park is all about drag racing. It doesn’t matter if it’s the 1/4-mile drag strip or the 240-feet mud drag track.

That’s why the South Texas track has signed a multi-year sanctioning renewal with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). Track owners Albert Rodriguez and Rey Chavez like what they’ve seen with the drag racing organization under the leadership of IHRA Owner Larry Jeffers and Mel Roth.
