With only one time trial/qualification run, first round saw track temperatures only around 120. By the time final rounds began kicking off it had risen to 140, with it topping out at 150 for the final few races.
These Saturday nights winners were looking to double up for the weekend. Ronnie Hughes(Top Dragster), Steve Harvey(Top Sportsman), Jarrod Granier(Super Stock), Hunter Pierdolla(Stock), Bryon Turner(Super Rod), Kevin Picha(Quick Rod), Alan Bracey(Hot Rod), Shallon Broussard(Jr. Masters), Aaron Jordan(Jr. Advanced) and Ashley Wenske.(Jr. Beginner)
Of those driver two were able to make it to the Sunday afternoon finals, but no one was able to do a two-day double. There were two runner-ups from Saturday that went on to win on Sunday and a couple to only doubled as the runner-up.
Top Dragster
Two local veteran drivers, both named David, were paired off for the Top Dragster finals. David Johns(Floresville) in the Johns Automotive, Waynes Paint & Body, Worthy Chassis used a .009 light to get a slight edge on David Bills(San Antonio). Both ran within 2/100th of their dial in with Johns scoring the victory.
To get to the finals Johns took out Terry Pollard, Curt Harvey, Andy Mears with a round 1 bye. Bills got wins over Mike Crader, Saturdays winner Ronnie Hughes, Peeps Pennington and took a bye in round 4.

Top Sportsman
Division 4 Renegades points leader Leslie Dugas(Grandview) got back on the winning track Sunday with his victory over yesterdays runner-up, Matt Crisp(Castroville). Dugas in his Olds Cutlass Calais got the hole shot win against Crisp, who nailed his number but was late at the tree, in the Mission Racing, Greg Hubbell Race Cars, Ford Mustang.
Dugas bested Roger Massey and Monte Weaver, while Crisp beat Marlon Goates and L. Rutland.

Super Stock
The same two drivers from Saturday squared off again in the Super Stock finals, but with different results. Dale Hulquist(Crosby), in his Hulquist Motorsports, Pontiac Grand Am cut a better light and closed the deal on the top end over Jarrod Granier(La Badieville, La.).
Hulquist took early winners over JB Clegg and Stan Holt with Granier getting an early bye before taking down C. Blackmon.

Stock
Yesterdays runner-up, Justin Hutto(Spring) improved to winner in the Stock finals with Philip Giles(Flatonia). Hutto, in his Chevy Nova had 6/100th in the bank on the COPO Camaro of Giles, who blew the tires off on launch and wasn't able to run Hutto down.
Hutto bettered Chris Haralson, J. Allen Sherman and Jimmie Hutto while Giles beat Saturdays winner Hunter Pierdolla and Ryan Hall with a round 3 bye.

Quick Rod(8.90)
It was two Midland racers going head to head in the Quick Rod finals. Tony Farmer in his TNT Chassis Dragster got 5/100th on the line against Kevin Bracey in his Wicked Motorsports, SDPC Race Shop Dragster, then nailed the index to grab the victory.
Farmer scored wins over Bryon Turner and Steve Paiyo while Bracey bested Robert Garbs and Kirk Wolf.

Super Rod(9.90)
Peeps Pennington(Three Rivers) took home the win in Super Rod with a hole shot over Brandon Meadows. Pennington in his Pennington Brothers Racing, Ford Roadster cut a .002 light and Meadows in his B&M Automotive, Garys Paint & Body Mustang was unable to chase him down.
Pennington trailered C. Best, C. Hilland Kip Guenzel in early rounds. Meadows got a bye in the semi's and took out Eddie McDow and Tommy Maedgen.

Hot Rod(10.90)
It was a battle of older Camaros in the Hot Rod finals pitting Hank Stephens(Palastine) against yesterdays winner, Alan Bracey. Bracey gave the race away at the tree going red handing the honors to Stephens.
Stephens got past Ray Dew, Jarrod Ross and Philip Pennington with Bracey bettering Chris Haralson, Tony Jones and Jeremy Wenske.
Jr. Dragster Masters
Justin Hutto(Spring) became a daily double winner with his Jr. Dragster Masters victory over Bryce Granier(La Badieville. La), who was runner-up on Saturday also. Hutto, in the Runnin' with the Big Dogs, iamsecond.com, Jr. Dragster used a 5/100th hole shot to hold off Granier who ran a better number.
Hutto took wins over Cody Garceau and got a round 2 bye. Granier bested defending track champ, Ashley Hubbell and had a round 1 bye.

Jr. Dragsters Advanced
In Jr. Dragster Advanced it was Cody Hughes(De Cantor) getting the victory over yesterdays runner-up, Ty Farmer.(Midland) Farmer gave the win to Hughes on the line when he rolled through the starting beams and went red.
Hughes also got wins over points leader, Carson Wenger and Graeme Rufenacht. Farmer made it to the finals getting by Trey Rieder and Hayden Trumble.

Jr. Dragster Beginner
Colton Reider(Houston) got the early win in Jr. Dragster Beginner after Evan Welborn went red on the starting line. Good thing for Reider who ran it through on the top end and would have broken out.
Reider took out A. Alvarez and points leader Landon Exner with Welborn getting wins over Ashley Wenske and Rylie Trumble.
