With the event tailored to Mo-Kan Dragway’s weekly program, Piper from St. George, Kan., won the $5,000 prize for the Super Pro class beating James Kunkel from Witchita, Kan., in the final round. Piper had a final run of 4.897 seconds at 116.58 mph against a 4.71 dial-in. Kunkel had a final run of 5.702 second at 112.50 mph against a 5.66 dial-in.
Zack Kleine from Monett, Mo., took the win home and $2,000 in No-Box defeating Shane Rees from Carthage, Mo. Kleine went down the track in 6.967 seconds at 95.44 mph against a 6.96 dial-in. Rees finished with a 6.439 second run at 102.69 mph against a 6.43 dial-in.
It was a father-son winning weekend as Jim Kleine from Stotts City, Mo., captured the win and $300 payday over Andrew Goss from Joplin, Mo., in the Sportsman class. Kleine had a 7.460 second run at 89.37 mph against a 7.45 dial-in. Goss had a 16.081 second run at 40.42 mph after redlighting at the start.
Jon Alexander from Fontana, Kan., took home the win in motorcycle class defeating Jimmy Lane. Alexander went down the track in 7.848 second at 92.08 mph against a 7.80 dial-in. Lane went down the track in 6.625 seconds at 103.59 mph against a 6.60 dial-in
In Junior Dragster, Alex Theiss from Caney, Kan. Captured the win over Simon Shinski from Olathe, Kan. Theiss had a final run of 11.420 second at 51.33 mph against a 11.37 dial-in. Shinski red-lighted at the start giving the win Theiss.
In Outlaw Fuel Altereds, Jody Austin from Aubrey, Texas defeated Jimmy Jones from Cleburne, Texas. Austin went down the track in 4.230 second at 128.10 mph while Jones red-lighted at the start.
