The Footbrake race, which offered the winner $1,000 cash and a season pass valued at $1,500, was settled at the start. With no pressure, Philbeck ended with a .066 reaction time and soaked it in as he crossed the line at 38.11 mph. Hicks finished in 7.758 seconds and 63.87 mph.
