Racers have the amazing opportunity to compete for big checks, big money and prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies. An exciting change for 2023, they have the chance to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.
Josh Sutton doubled up with Top (Box) and Mod (No Box) wins during the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular’s last visit to the Goodlettsville, Tenn., track. Hometown racer Kenny Ray was the Sportsman winner and Chase Morris captured the big check for the Motorcycle class. Piper Lynch took home the trophy in Junior Dragsters.
Different partners have stepped up to help Music City Raceway with the prize money, Quick Fuel Technology is the sponsor of the Top class with a $5,000-to-win top prize. The Modified class is sponsored by ATM Innovation and is offering $1,000 to win.
Texas Roadhouse is the Sportsman sponsor and Duke’s Wrecker Service is supporting the Pro Bike class. Carl’s Collision is the sponsor of the Junior Dragster race.
Gates open at 11 a.m. with timed runs scheduled for 2 p.m. followed by eliminations.
Here are important facts regarding the events:
- Sportsman Spectacular winners, who are IHRA members, now earn entry into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or other IHRA Sportsman Spectacular races). Current IHRA membership is required.
- Get an early jump on becoming an IHRA member by clicking here for the IHRA membership center or by calling Heather at (85) JOIN-IHRA. Racers can also sign up for memberships at the track.
- Event entry will take place at the track
- IHRA license renewal / chassis certification will be available on site
- IHRA IronMan trophies awarded to event winners
