Racers in Kentucky and neighboring states have the chance to compete for big checks, big money, the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and a chance to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

The event is tailored to London Dragway’s programs with IHRA Summit SuperSeries track points awarded each day. It will be the first time the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and Fuel Tech has been held at London Dragway

Gates open at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28 and includes a $1,200-to-win Gamblers race. Gates open at 8 a.m. Saturday with time trials to begin at 10 a.m. and eliminations to follow. Saturday action includes the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular race featuring a $5,000-to-win prize for the Top ET class. There are also races for the Mod, Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes.

At the end of the night, Ohio Crankshaft is sponsoring a 64-car shootout with $10,000 for the winner.

Sunday will see the gates open at 9 a.m. with new entry timed runs at 10 a.m. followed by eliminations. There is another $5,000-to-win Top ET race on Sunday with Summit SuperSeries points paid both weekend days.

Here are important facts regarding the event:

• Saturday winners, who are IHRA members, now earn entry into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or other IHRA Sportsman Spectacular races). Current IHRA membership is required.

• Event entry will take place at the track
• IHRA license renewal / chassis certification will be available on site
• IHRA IronMan trophies awarded to the winners of Saturday’s events
