An exciting day of action is scheduled at the suburban Nashville track as racers from the Volunteer State and beyond have the opportunity to compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies, big checks and big money.
Making the program more appealing than ever before, IHRA Sportsman Spectacular winners now have the chance to qualify for the 2023 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. To be eligible, one must have current IHRA membership. Hamlin will be there to assist with memberships and other questions from IHRA members.
The last time the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular visited Music City Raceway, Josh Sutton captured both the Top (Box) and Mod (No Box) victories. Hometown racer Kenny Ray from Goodlettsville was the Sportsman winner and Chase Morris earned the Motorcycle victory. Piper Lynch took home the trophy in Junior Dragsters.
Music City Raceway’s valued partners have stepped up to help with the event. Quick Fuel Technology is the sponsor of the Top class with a $5,000-to-win top prize. The Modified class is sponsored by ATM Innovation and is offering $1,000 to win.
Texas Roadhouse is the Sportsman sponsor and Duke’s Wrecker Service is supporting the Pro Bike class. The Junior Dragster race is sponsored by Carl’s Collision.
Gates open at 11 a.m. with timed runs scheduled for 2 p.m. followed by eliminations.
Here are important facts regarding the events:
- Sportsman Spectacular winners, who are IHRA members, now earn entry into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or other IHRA Sportsman Spectacular races). Current IHRA membership is required.
- Get an early jump on becoming an IHRA member by clicking here for the IHRA membership center or by calling Heather at (85) JOIN-IHRA. Racers can also see Paige at the track and sign up for memberships.
- Event entry will take place at the track
- IHRA license renewal / chassis certification will be available on site
- IHRA IronMan trophies awarded to event winners
