Racers in the Lone Star State will compete for big checks, big money and the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies. New in 2023, IHRA-member winners of the races have the chance to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.
Saturday’s main event, which is also an XRP points race, features strong payouts thanks to the track’s partners. The Top (Box) class sponsored by Sonnax features $3,000-to-win. It’s a $1,500-to-win Pro (No Box) class presented by Mr. Wendell’s Motorsports. The Motorcycle payout is highlighted by $500-to-win thanks to Turman Motorsports. Bontrager Racing Solutions are providing $300-to-win checks for the Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes.
In addition to Saturday’s points race, there are Friday Gamblers’ races for the Top and Pro classes. Other races include those for the Super Pro Green and Pro Blue classes.
Make sure your IHRA membership is up to date to be able to take advantage of all opportunities. IHRA Director of Track and Racer Relations Paige Hamlin will be on hand to assist with IHRA memberships and Division Director Cody Pollage will be on site to do chassis certifications.
Here are important facts regarding the events:
• Sportsman Spectacular winners, who are IHRA members, now earn entry into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races (IHRA-member track Summit SuperSeries team race or other IHRA Sportsman Spectacular races). Current IHRA membership is required.
• Get an early jump on becoming an IHRA member by clicking here for the IHRA membership center or by calling Heather at (85) JOIN-IHRA. Racers can also sign up for memberships at the track.
• Event entry will take place at the track
• IHRA license renewal / chassis certification will be available on site
• IHRA IronMan trophies awarded to event winners
