IHRA Division Director Cody Pollage is scheduled to be on hand at Penwell Knights with chassis certifications and memberships on site. This event follows record turnouts for the Sportsman Spectacular in 2023.
IHRA members racing in the Top (Box), Mod (No Box) and Junior Dragster classes have the opportunity to compete for the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophy at each event as well as the coveted oversized championship checks. IHRA members will also be in the running for limited-edition Sportsman Spectacular commemorative medals in addition to their winnings.
Each event remains tailored to the host track’s racing programs as Sportsman and Motorcycle classes could also be contested.
“The racers responded in a huge way last season when we announced the IHRA-member Sportsman Spectacular winners would qualify for the World Finals,” IHRA Owner and CEO Larry Jeffers said. “It was another way we showed our commitment to racers and tracks, adding more value with these events.”
Knoxville Dragway is next on the current schedule with a March 30 race and Beacon Dragway is on tap for April 27. The rest of the current schedule is below with races from Ohio to New Mexico.
