It promises to be an exciting day and evening of racing with the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies up for grabs in five classes — Top (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster. Ozark Raceway Park is a track known as a nice facility surrounded by beautiful scenery.
The IHRA Ironman Classic program is offered to all IHRA member tracks. Prior to this program, a Sportsman racer could only win an Ironman if they traveled to an IHRA Summit Team Finals, Sportsman Spectacular or World Finals. This program gives local tracks a chance to create extra excitement in their bracket program and offer competitors a chance to win the prestigious Ironman.
Top drivers will be competing for $2,000 to win and $800 for the runner-up. Mod racers will face off for $1,400 to win and $600 for a runner-up finish. The Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes all will feature a $250 winner’s purse.
It’s regular entry and buy back price. You can buy two tech cards in each class, and you can buy back on each tech card that you purchase.
This event offers an opportunity for drivers to score big points in their pursuit of an IHRA Summit SuperSeries track championship. All eligible IHRA-member track champions automatically qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
Races are also scheduled Saturday for the track’s No E and 6.50 classes under their normal format. Gates open at 2 p.m. and racing starts at 4 p.m.
