Sherbondy captured the Bellman Oil Top (Box) victory when final-round opponent Melissa Burns fouled at the start. Sherbondy went down the track in his dragster in 5.05 seconds on a 5.02 dial after a solid .011 reaction time. Burns was a little too quick at the tree -.026, which offset an otherwise winning effort of 6.001 reaction time on a 6.00 dial.
Her husband, Billy Burns, brought home the Ironman for the All Seasons General Contracting Mod (No Box) class. Burns had the great .008 start to go along with a 7.66 run on a 6.05 dial. Runner-up Tristen Severns red-lighted on a 6.388-second run with a 6.39 dial-in.
Andrysiak was the winner over 2023 track champion Randy Wolfe in the All Seasons General Contracting Sportsman race. Wolfe was a little better .049-.057 at the tree, but Andrysiak made up with an 8.03 reaction time against an 8.00 dial-in time. Wolfe finished in 8.73 seconds with an 8.73 dial-in.
Ard also faced a tough challenge with Brett Engel, who ranked No. 5 on the 2023 IHRA National Top 10 list, in the Fisher Body Shop Motorcycles presented by Miami County Metals final. Ard’s winning effort included a 9.644-second pass against a 9.60 dial-in. Engel went 5.79 on a 5.72 dial. Ard had the slightly better .027-.029 reaction time.
The trophy for the Brandts Heating, Cooling and Electrical Junior Dragsters went to Virgilio, who came through with a 7.958-second run on a 7.95 dial and a .054 reaction time. Runner-up Cadan Richardson triggered the red light before his 8.69-second pass on a 7.93 dial.
