The International Hot Rod Association is saddened with the news of the death of another great racing legend, Richard “Dick” Fox, on Tuesday in Michigan. He was 77.
Fox was a multiple-time winner in Quick Rod competition and the runner-up in the 1987 national championship. He won such events as the Summer Nationals at US41 Dragway, the Motorcraft World Nationals at Norwalk Raceway Park and the Motorcraft Northern Nationals at Milan Dragway.
He was the owner and operator of Champion Racing Engines over 50 years. Fox had a well-earned reputation for quality work as Champion Racing Engines offer both custom-built and several base combinations.
The IHRA asks you remember the Fox family and his friends during this tragic time.
