The IHRA Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals is moving — but the action isn’t going anywhere.

Originally set for Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, Ohio, the event will now take place at Darana Dragway - Milan (formerly Milan Dragway) in Milan, Michigan, on the same dates: August 8-9. 

The change in venue brings the event to a facility that’s recently been revitalized under IHRA ownership, with the same commitment to putting on a top-tier show for fans and racers alike.

MILAN, Mich. — While the action heats up at Darana Dragway - Milan during this weekend’s IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series event, the International Hot Rod Association is proud to announce the addition of five new contingency partners, effective immediately and continuing throughout the 2025 season.

MILAN, Mich. — Jacob Elrod was racing in a different class, but was still class of the field at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Pro-Am at Darana Dragway.

Elrod won the Top Sportsman race Thursday at the Michigan drag strip with the event streamed live on IHRA.TV. Jacob, the son of IHRA Hall of Famer Dave Elrod, won the Super Rod class at the Pro-Am opener two weeks ago in Hebron, Ohio.

MILAN, Mich. — The IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series heads to Darana Dragway – Milan (formerly Milan Dragway) this weekend, July 23-26, with an exciting driver lineup piloting the 12,000-horsepower, fire-breathing Top Fuel and Funny Car machines down the Michigan drag strip.

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Jordan Johnson keeps piling up the big victories.

The defending IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman World Champion doubled up again Tuesday at Music City Raceway.

Johnson won the Trophy Stock and Super Street races at the Nashville-area track.

At another recent Music City race, he won the Texas Roadhouse Sportsman race over final-round opponent Kitty Martin. Then, he doubled up with a $1,000-to-win Pro (No Box) victory over Justin Conatser.

MILAN, MI — A new era of drag racing is set to launch in Southeast Michigan as Milan Dragway officially becomes Darana Dragway, following its recent acquisition by Darryl Cuttell, owner of the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). 

This weekend, the newly renamed facility will host a highly anticipated stop on the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series, marking a bold and exciting chapter for the beloved track.

Drag racing icon Don "Big Daddy" Garlits got a surprise celebration for his 93 ½ birthday - an inside joke that was started by Ted Wolf! Wolf, who used to compete against Garlits in Top Fuel in the ‘70s, started celebrating half birthdays when his father turned 90 1/2. It’s a tradition that he’s kept up until this day, and he shared the story with IHRA owner Darryl Cuttel at the season opener at Darana Raceway - Hebron.

SALEM, Ohio — Quaker City Motorsports Park will host the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular this Saturday, July 19.

Racers in Top (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks.

They can gain entry to the 2025 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals by winning Saturday’s main event.

HEBRON, Ohio — Pro-Am final rounds capped off an amazing weekend at the debut of the new IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Raceway.

The races were live streamed on IHRA.tv via YouTube.

Jimmy Fallon finished off a huge week for himself in Top Sportsman with a 6.393-second winning run in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Final-round opponent Chris Osborn finished in 6.686 seconds. Fallon also enjoyed a .023 to .028 advantage at the starting tree.
