The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) (the “Company”) (www.IHRA.com) announced that the IRG Sports + Entertainment™ (IRGSE) Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Company has appointed Mr. Skooter Peaco, as Interim President of the Company effective immediately.

400 Thunder’s Sportsman Series will be bolstered by the introduction of a new bracket, Pro Radial. 

Pro Radial is set to be one of the most diverse but hotly contested classes and open to a variety of engine configurations, with allowances for four, six and eight cylinder blocks, blowers, turbochargers and nitrous oxide – all running on convention radial tyres.
 

The Division 1, Patriots, segment of the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour, presented by Amsoil, will make stops at Maryland International Raceway, Pittsburgh Raceway Park, Empire Dragway and Capitol Raceway during the 2016 season.

Due to the recent announcement in Division 4 of some events that will conflict with IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour dates, the following schedule adjustments have been made to help ease the burden of IHRA racers facing the conflicting dates in that division.

The multilevel sponsorship includes sportsman class sponsorship, presenting sponsorship at two IHRA Drag Racing Series events and title rights at the San Antonio race.

The International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) is pleased to announce that Summit Racing Equipment will continue their long-standing relationship with the IHRA by renewing their commitment to IHRA’s sportsman racers. 

Perth Motorplex, one of IHRA’s newest member tracks in Australia, played host to a unique drag race that featured Formula 1 Infinity Red Bull racer Daniel Ricciardo. 

In a continued effort to grow its sportsman programs and continue to provide an abundance of options for its competitors, the International Hot Rod Association will continue the NTS 11.50 no throttle stop sportsman index class at five IHRA Drag Racing Series events in 2016.

Today, the International Hot Rod Association has announced the dates for the two 2015 Summit Team Final events rained out this past Fall at Piedmont Dragway.
