The 2013 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL season continues June 14-16 at Memphis International Raceway in Tennessee for an IHRA Wild Card weekend with points on the line for all drivers in all divisions. This incredible facility will host two 1/4 mile races with a test and tune on Friday and qualifying and racing on Saturday and Sunday. All drivers regardless of division can claim an in-division claim at the event meaning major championship implications – and Tournament of Champions seeding – is on the line.

No, after a decade of competition and extreme thrills the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else in the country, the annual Mopar Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports has become more of pilgrimage. Drivers, crews and fans travel from all corners of North America to compete in Canada’s biggest drag race and that excitement will continue this season with the 11th annual Rocky Mountain Nationals to be held July 5-7 at legendary Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta.

After an extremely successful debut venture with the International Hot Rod Association’s Nitro Jam series in 2012, the IHRA is pleased to announce that Parts Canada will expand its presence at both of IHRA’s Canadian national events in Edmonton, Alberta and Grand Bend, Ontario in 2013.

In 2012 a then unknown 17-year-old racer by the name of Corey Manuel came out of nowhere to claim the IHRA World Championship in Quick Rod at the Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions.

This season, with an extra year of maturity under his belt, Manuel hopes to add to that success by proving he is not just a one-hit wonder and that he can run with the best year in and year out. At Mooresville Manuel got that campaign off to a great start by winning the Quick Rod title at the second of five races on the Division 9 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL schedule.

With the announcement that Maryland International Raceway will host the All-Junior Team Finals the weekend of July 5-7, tracks and competitors are gearing up for the excitement and a huge weekend of racing.
