Baley Miles led the way as Music City Raceway riders showed out again at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

Miles finished runner-up in the Motorcycle class in both Friday’s Race of Champions and Saturday’s main event.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — Wesley Buchanan is the kind of grassroots, Sportsman racer which the IHRA is built upon.

The 44-year-old from Ballard County, Missouri is a hard-working man, employed by the local recycling center. He has a true passion for racing and was rewarded with a runner-up finish at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

WILKESBORO, NC — Wilkesboro Dragway and its racers have come through when their neighbors have been most in need.

Track operators Paul Salvatore and Cindy Meredith and the Olish family which own the track were already helping promote the “Race for Cancer” when Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on Western North Carolina, East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Jake Howard came oh so close to sweeping the weekend in the Mod (No Box) class at the 2024 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

Driving his black Trans-Am, Howard was hammer down, making the run through eliminations. After winning Friday’s Race of Champions, he came up one spot short in Saturday’s main event when he was a mere -.003 too quick at the start.

Joe Soucek Jr. had quite an interesting journey to become the Top (Box) runner-up at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

The 47-year old Ohio racer was in a different car than he raced last season, and this accomplishment came literally four months after he suffered a heart attack. It was a sentimental win for Soucek, who has kept his great sense of humor through both the good times and adversity.

MAYNARDVILLE, TN — Knoxville Dragway had a great turnout Sunday with the IHRA Ironman Classic part of the Don Cox Memorial Race and second annual Branded Rat Nationals.

The competition was sure to be tough with Knoxville producing more IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champions than any other drag strip over the past decade.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — The future of drag racing looks bright with a talented group of drivers who make up the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster National Top 10 List.

Tate Hildebrandt added his win at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering to an already impressive list of accomplishments. Hildebrandt, who calls Edinburg Motorsports Park his home track, qualified by winning the IHRA Division 4 (Renegades) Summit Team Finals at Xtreme Raceway Park.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — Six of the top seven riders in the 2024 IHRA Summit SuperSeries Motorcycle National Top 10 list all come from Tennessee tracks.

Grady Powell was the fourth Knoxville Dragway racer in seven years to win an IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Championship. For the second straight year, the Motorcycle World Champion came from a Tennessee drag strip following Kane Austin from Music City Raceway in 2023.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — Three racers made the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman National Top 10 for a second straight year headlined by World Champion Jordan Johnson.

Johnson, who qualified by winning the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser at Music City Raceway, is one of two IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman World Champions on the list alongside 2021 title-holder David Bigham.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — They came from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and four neighboring states to race their way on the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod (No Box) National Top 10 list for 2024.

Justin Minton, who qualified by winning the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular by Moser at Beacon Dragway, stood above the rest. In fact, he stood beside his blue Chevy Nova as the 2024 IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod World Champion at Holly Springs Motorsports.
