CLAY CITY, KY — Kentucky Dragway continues to be the site for some of the best drag racing events in the country.

In October alone, the Eastern Kentucky track featured two marquee events on the schedule. The 54th annual Ken-Mor Bluegrass Nationals was held Oct. 9-12. This weekend, the track hosts the HalloThanksMas which features three events with different themes — Carrie’s Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, the Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday and the Christmas Spirit Fun Run on Sunday.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — Racers from the Lone Star and Buckeye States rank as the Top (Box) drivers in the IHRA Summit SuperSeries presented by Strange Engineering for 2024.

In fact, the 29-year-old Hawaiian has driven his 1996 Chevrolet Beretta to three victories in IHRA Ironman races, including back-to-back wins in 2023-24.

MAYNARDVILLE, TN — Knoxville Dragway saw its reputation as the track of champions added to last week with Grady Powell winning the Motorcycle class at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

More Knoxville racers will have the chance to compete for the prestigious Ironman trophy next Saturday, Oct. 26, as part of the Branded Rat Nationals in memory of Don Cox Sr.

Many of the best Junior Dragster racers in North America come from the Lone Star State.

Tate Hildebrandt is keeping that tradition alive after capturing the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster World Championship at Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Grady Powell added his name to a pair of prestigious lists at the 2024 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

He became the second Motorcycle champion since the class was introduced at the World Finals in 2023, and the fourth racer in the last seven years from Knoxville Dragway to win an IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Championship.

Jordan Johnson wasn’t being cocky. He was simply telling everyone he was determined to become the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman World Champion.

The Music City Raceway driver finished fourth in the 2023 National Top 10 standings. After that strong performance, he made a promise not only to get back to Holly Springs Motorsports for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering, but to win the whole race.

Justin Minton had a great time at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals even before he won the Mod (No Box) World Championship at Holly Springs Motorsports.

To win the prize package from the prestigious yearly championship in bracket racing only added to the experience for the 33-year-old mechanic from Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Certainly, he was happy to take home the $20,000 big check from Summit Racing Equipment, an IHRA Ironman trophy and an IHRA gold card. He will also get a world championship ring in the next few weeks.

Scott Wallace has taken the IHRA Summit Series Top (Box) World Championship to the Xtreme.

For the second straight year, the Texas track saw one of its drivers go all the way through eliminations at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Wallace, a second-generation racer, actually credited 2023 World Champion, Jeromy Hefler, as one who helped make himself a champion.
