HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — A couple of familiar names ranked at the top of the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod (No Box) Top 10 list for 2023.

Wesley Lockhart, the IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champion at both Gleason Raceway Park and Beacon Dragway, capped off his monster year by winning the championship at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering. Lockhart had to beat defending IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion Grant Zimmerman in the final round.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Hoosier State produced the best IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman racers in 2023.

Aaron Richards, representing US 41 Dragstrip, won the Sportsman championship at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering. Gary Blankenship and Derek Simon from Muncie Dragway also had memorable trips to Mississippi.

EDINBURG, Texas — Edinburg Motorsports Park is all about drag racing. It doesn’t matter if it’s the 1/4-mile drag strip or the 240-feet mud drag track.

That’s why the South Texas track has signed a multi-year sanctioning renewal with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). Track owners Albert Rodriguez and Rey Chavez like what they’ve seen with the drag racing organization under the leadership of IHRA Owner Larry Jeffers and Mel Roth.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — Music City Raceway was well represented at the recent IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering with two of their racers ranking in the top three of the Motorcycle standings.

It was headlined by IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion Kane Austin, who had a winning effort after finishing runner-up in the Race of the Champions the night before. Austin qualified for the IHRA World Finals by winning the IHRA Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals, also at Holly Springs Motorsports Park.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The future looks bright for the International Hot Rod Association with several of the talented Junior Dragster racers making noise at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.

A.J. Leung from Wisconsin International Raceway won the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophy as the 2023 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion with the talented Ty Janousek from Little River Dragway coming up just one spot short.

Todd Payne has set the standard again among Electric Vehicle racers.

Since the electric cars were approved to participate in the IHRA Summit SuperSeries, the Yadkinville, N.C., driver has been the top finishing EV driver at each of the last three World Finals. He made to the semifinals in the Sportsman class in 2021, the finals in Sportsman in 2022 and the quarterfinals after being moved to the Mod (No Box) class in 2023.

PAGELAND, S.C. — Let the good times roll in 2024 and beyond at Pageland Dragway.

The South Carolina track has signed a multi-year sanctioning agreement with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) after a fun season for everyone involved. There’s a great history of Pro Mod racing at the 1/8-mile track known as home of the 4.70 Doorslammers.

ALBANY, Ind. — Muncie Dragway and the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) enjoy more than a long history together. They share the same vision of taking care of the racers and have decided to move forward with a multi-year sanctioning agreement.

PORT ALLEN, La. — The excitement of the IHRA Ironman Classic is coming to State Capitol Raceway on Saturday, Nov. 11.

State Capitol Raceway is a premier, state-of-the-art drag racing destination 17 miles west of Baton Rouge. Racers in Louisiana and surrounding states now have the opportunity to compete for the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies in six classes as well as it being a track points race for the regular competitors.

WILKESBORO, N.C. — Wilkesboro Dragway made the announcement it was returning to the IHRA family late in 2022 and that turned out to be a great partnership for both parties.

Thanks to the great programs like the IHRA Summit SuperSeries, the most prestigious championship in bracket racing, and especially the hard work of track operator Paul Salvatore, the drag strip in the North Carolina mountains enjoyed a tremendous season in 2023.
