IRG Sports + Entertainment™ (IRGSE), a global leader in marketing and promoting of sports and live entertainment experiences, has named Pilson Communications, Inc. (PCI) as its consulting company for future television and digital agreements. The newly aligned partnership will focus on the International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA), the International Drag Bike League™ (IDBL) and the oldest continuously running drag racing event in the country, the World Series of Drag Racing.

The weekend of February 26-28 marks the third stop on the IHRA Division 2 Summit Pro- Am Tour and the anticipation could not be higher. “After the first two events having record numbers I couldn’t be more excited about the event coming up at SGMP,” said IHRA Division 2 Director Josh Peake.

As part of 400 Thunder’s on-going development to deliver the best possible service for race fans, sponsors and teams, three changes have been made to its already popular live streaming program.
 
400 Thunder’s live stream service provides full audio and video from its national events, with viewers not able to attend the event still able to experience the thrills and spills of Australia’s premier drag racing series.

The second race of the young Summit Pro-Am Tour season at Bradenton Motorsports Park was another record setter for the host facility.  Some 300 competitors showed up to compete in what is turning out to be a very strong Division 2 in 2016. Event results are listed in the article.

Dunn, one of the most successful drivers and team organizers in the history of motorsports, joins the IHRA after spending the last 14 years as the face of major league professional drag racing for ESPN.

Ralph and Thomas Hester once again managed to set the bar a little higher at Immokalee Regional Raceway.  The Hester family as well as the IRR and IHRA crew battled a rain plagued weekend for the Summit Pro-Am Tour season opener.  This forced race officials to start racing  both races on Sunday with a Monday finish for both events.

Drag Review Magazine is "going green" and transitioning into a digital format for instantaneous access to all things pertaining to the IHRA. January's issue of Drag Review Magazine was the last monthly issue to be printed.
 
Racers, fans and sponsors will still be able to enjoy information and imagery about IHRA sportsman and professional events in the online content for free. As we are aware that not all people have access to a computer, there will be quarterly issues of Drag Review Magazine available starting in the fourth quarter. The official IHRA rulebook will be available in hard copy as well.
 
We will send out additional information in the coming weeks on how to access the new environmentally friendly Drag Review Magazine.

Springmount Raceway has announced it will run under the globally-recognized International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) from its official Grand Opening on Saturday, 19 March. Situated at Mareeba, near Cairns.

 The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am tour will open the season at Ralph Hester’s Immokalee Regional Raceway located in sunny Florida on February 5-7.  The Immokalee event which dates back to 2002 had a record car count in 2015.  Ralph, Thomas and crew always do a great job hosting this event and go above and beyond for this event to make racers feel welcome regardless of where they call home.
