IRG Sports + Entertainment (IRGSE) has appointed sports industry veteran and former Comcast-Spectacor entity President Chris Lencheski as Vice Chairman of the Board of Managers and Chief Executive Officer.

IRGSE properties promote more than 1,150 motorsports, live entertainment and corporate events annually at their venues and within their series. Lencheski will be responsible for strategic and portfolio operations of the IRGSE family of companies, including the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioning body and the International Drag Bike League (IDBL) sanctioning body, as well as IRGSE properties: Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR), Memphis International Raceway (MIR), Maryland International Raceway (MDIR), and Cordova International Raceway (CIR).

The International Hot Rod Association is pleased to announce the Division 2 Heat Wave Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL 2016 schedule.

The International Hot Rod Association announced the official schedule for the Division 9 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL season. It will comprise six weekends at incredibly popular tracks throughout the Southeast including Farmington Dragway, Piedmont Dragway, Galot Motorsports Park, Maryland International Raceway, Union Dragway and Carolina Dragway.

The Division 3, North Stars, segment of the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour, presented by AMSOIL, will hit Grand Bend Motorplex, Pittsburgh Raceway Park, US 131 Motorsports Park and Dragway 42 during the 2016 season.

The 2016 sportsman only Summit World Finals, which includes the Summit Tournament Of Champions and Summit Super Series world championships that will be held at Memphis International Raceway, has been moved back a week on the 2016 schedule. 

The world-class Perth Motorplex will move to full International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sanctioning from December 1, 2015. 

The venue’s management will make the switch to the internationally renowned IHRA with long-term sustainability and growth at the forefront of its decision making process.

The schedule for IHRA’s Division 4 Summit Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL will include four stops; those stops include State Capitol Raceway, San Antonio Raceway, Memphis International Raceway and Pinevalley Raceway.

Australia’s new professional drag racing series, 400 Thunder will be sanctioned by the globally recognized International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) for future events, starting with next month’s Home Group WA Nitro Slam at Perth Motorplex.

Famous for its racer hospitality, great racing and exciting racer parties, Ralph Hester's Immokalee Regional Raceway will, for the 13th straight year, host the season-opener for the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour the weekend of February 5-7 with a Wild Card Event open to competitors in all divisions.

As the International Hot Rod Association gears up for 2016, the first featured event of the IHRA Drag Racing Series season is set for Orlando Speed World and the debut of the Spring Nitro Nationals on March 5 – 6, 2016.
