Adkins had his own thrill ride over the weekend with his brown Chevrolet Camaro racing to back-to-back Mod wins at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries season opener at Dragway 42. It was a slightly better start that proved the difference on Saturday as he and final-round opponent Amy Reed were both right on their dial-in times. Turning the page, he took advantage of Mark Provost being a little too quick on the light to win Sunday’s race.

McQueen Doubles Up at Penwell Knights Raceway Submitted by tylers on Fri, 05/16/2025 - 20:38 ODESSA, Texas — Mikel McQueen doubled up with both Box and No Box victories at IHRA Summit SuperSeries points races at Penwell Knights Raceway last weekend. McQueen had solid starts in both classes. His .014 reaction time gave him an early advantage over Mason Bomar in the Box final. His winning run of 5.046 seconds at 129.68 mph against a 5.03 dial-in. He then used a .015 start in No Box as final-round opponent Stan Hammond triggered the red light.
