Mark your calendar for the dates of September 25 - 26, 2015 as the International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) is proud to reintroduce the San Antonio Nitro Jam Nationals to San Antonio Raceway. The facility reopened as an IHRA member track with its recent purchase by local businessman/promoter, Iain Grae, from foreclosure proceedings back in January of 2015.
Roger Garten, driver of the popular "War Horse" nitro funny car, died on June 27 from injuries suffered in a crash during a funny car event in California. Garten and his competitor, Matt Bynum, collided at the 330' foot mark, violently rebounding in different directions across the track.
Due to the recent news that Galot Motorsports Park would not be opening for any events in 2015, the Summit Pro-Am Tour Division 9 event has been moved to Carolina Dragway.
Dave started working with jet cars in 1993. He became owner/driver of the Dragon's Fyre jet dragster in 1998 and launched the Dragon's Fyre 1940 Ford jet truck in 2012. Dave has a 100% run completion record and a perfect safety record as well. Between the dragster and truck Dave has over 800 passes in jet powered vehicles.

The Lund family from Bettendorf Iowa were this weekend's "IronMan", pulling off double victories Saturday night during day one of the Summit Pro-Am Tour at Cordova International Raceway. Mike Lund drove his Firebird to the win in Stock while Matt Lund drove his Firebird to victory in Super Stock.
The Summit Sportsman National event at Maryland International Raceway was the only program to be concluded before the rains ultimately stopped the event.
All classes except Good Vibrations Top Sportsman crowned champions Saturday afternoon. Those finals will be run at the upcoming Carolina Dragway Summit Pro Am Tour event.
Walla Walla Dragst Strip hosted the first Division 6 Summit Pro-Am Tour event this past weekend. Two competitors were able to pull off a weekend sweep of their class. Mark Faul (Super Stock) and Tom Patterson (Super Rod) were the only two drivers to claim the elusive "double" by winning their class both days.
IRG Sports + Entertainment™ (IRG) and the International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) welcome back San Antonio Raceway located in Marion, Texas. The recently foreclosed track has been taken over by new ownership and once again is a member of the IHRA member track family.
