The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), the world’s second-largest drag racing sanctioning body, has partnered with Ignite2X to relaunch Drag Review Magazine (DRM) in digital format. The focus of Drag Review Magazine is to offer fans, members and partners access to one-of-a-kind insight into the IHRA on a quarterly basis.
While the 2017 IHRA rulebook is in the printing process and scheduled for January delivery, the 2017 rules for the Sportsman classes have been posted online. The link to the Sportsman section of the 2017 IHRA rulebook is available HERE.
Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) has been added to the 2017 Summit Sportsman National Championship schedule. PBIR will replace Bradenton as the second stop of the new sportsman class racing series and will remain on the original date of February 10-12, 2017.
The new series will begin February 3-5 at Immokalee Regional Raceway and feature 15 double race weekends for International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) class racers. For a complete Summit Sportsman National Championship schedule, click HERE.

Willowbank Raceway's Winternationals achieves a golden milestone in 2017 when Australian drag racing fans will celebrate the 50th running of the classic event.
The occasion is a double celebration for Willowbank Raceway as it is the 30th time the Winternationals as been held at the track.
The race, the largest championship drag racing event held outside of North America, is the final round of the 400 Thunder season for all of the country's championships.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), the world’s second-largest drag racing sanctioning body, is gearing up for 2017 with two National sportsman programs highlighting the season. The bracket racing based Summit SuperSeries will make its return to IHRA-sanctioned member tracks for the 16th season and the newly formed Summit Sportsman National Championship, which takes the place of the Summit Pro-Am Tour regional format, will make its debut for class racing competitors. The points funds for both sportsman programs will be greater than and pay more places than any other class racing series in existence.
