HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — It’s one thing to hear about the passion that track operators bring to the different International Hot Rod Association member tracks. It’s another to witness it first-hand.

IHRA President Mel Roth and IHRA Eastern Division Director Doug Foley Jr. have spent the last couple of weeks visiting current, past and future IHRA drag strips. They’ve talked extensively to the track operators and seen their dedication while going on tours of the different facilities.

The Road to the 2023 IHRA World Championship is getting underway with a pair of IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Enginnering and Fuel Tech races this weekend at Piedmont Dragway and State Capitol Raceway.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — English Mountain Raceway wants to be known as the friendliest track around.

Track owners Greg Wallace, Jimmy Zappier and Josh Ottinger are doing a good job at that, welcoming back local bracket racers as well as taking care of the No Prep racers that have been in the spotlight the last few years.

With so many exciting announcements over the past few months, the IHRA’s Facebook page has surpassed both 100,000 followers and 100,000 likes. It’s a milestone with the IHRA’s increased emphasis on highlighting our racers, tracks and valued partners.

FERRIS, Texas — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is run by racers for racers.

An example is IHRA Director of Track & Racer Relations Paige Hamlin, who won Saturday in the Pro Blue (No Box) class at Xtreme Raceway Park. It came one week after both Hamlin and her husband, Daryl “Scooter” Hamlin, reached the final round at another bracket race in Oklahoma.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri —  It’s not too early to plan ahead as Thunder Valley Dragways will host an IHRA Ironman Classic event on August 19-20.

SHELBY, N.C. — It’s time to crank up those motors. The Carolina Nitrous Nationals marks the return of drag radial action and the debut of IHRA bracket racing this weekend at Shadyside Dragway.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — There has been a bounty of good news for the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) heading into the 2023 racing season.

More tracks like Alabama International Dragway, Ellis I-57 Dragstrip and KD Motorsports have joined the IHRA in recent weeks, while old favorites like the historic Great Lakes Dragaway and Saskatchewan International Raceway have renewed their sanctioning agreements.
