James Rutherford (Northern Lights), Dan Coss (Castrol Raceway), Jake Nickerson (Hi-Line)  and MacKenna Ochitwa (Castrol Raceway) were the big winners at the first Summit Team Finals of the 2016 season. 

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) announced that the Greater Evansville Dragway (GED), which reopened this year after a two-year hiatus from drag racing, will be the second IHRA member track in the state of Indiana, and the first in the tri-state area of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.

It is with extreme sadness we relay the news of the passing of IHRA World Champion John Furr.  John passed from this earth around 12 noon Tuesday due to a stroke.  Please pray for the family during this time of intense shock and sorrow.  His brother Steve, also a multi-time IHRA World Champion, was in California on business when he received the news.

After exhausting all efforts to reschedule the rained out Division 1 events at Capitol Raceway the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) and Capitol Raceway management have decided to remove them from the schedule.  Although the Junior Dragster categories were completed for both days, all other classes were halted by rain before eliminations began.

It’s still a few months away, but International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) sportsman racers are already preparing for the Summit SuperSeries World Championship at Memphis International Raceway this October. Qualifiers for the Mod ET competition will be vying for part of a prize package worth $200,000, including a GPO-9 two-post lift made by Gemini Auto Lifts. Mitch Chance co-owns Gemini Auto Lifts, as a true child of the dragstrip, he understands the need filled by a quality lift or hoist.

Following the conclusion of the inaugural 400 Thunder Drag Racing Season, the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is set to increase its commitment to Australian drag racing, with a goal to move the sport to greater heights.

Ed Smith (Quick Rod), Gary Wojnowski (Good Vibrations Top Sportsman) and Amanda Vogler (Junior Beginner) swept their respective classes during the Keystone Summit Pro-Am Tour weekend.
