Moser will supply the entire 3rd member and disc brake package ensuring the Trick Flow powered big block Chevy will have plenty of stop and go power.
For the third consecutive year, JR Race Car is sponsoring an excellent prize for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries. At the end of the season, the 2016 Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster National Champion will receive a state-of-the-art, custom-built junior dragster. This year’s dragster will again feature a custom paint job by Jerron Settles of Imagine That Customs. The last two cars the company built for the Summit SuperSeries drew attention from drivers, both young and old, and raised the level of competition in the Junior Dragster division of the Summit SuperSeries even higher. What else would you expect from a company that has worked hard to support junior drag racing since its founding?
The second stop on the Summit Pro-Am Tour continued in the sunshine state with a stop at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida. The event saw 300 drivers competing for 20 Ironmen, over the doubleheader weekend with an increase of over 100 competitors compared to 2015’s racer attendance.
The IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour kicked off the 2016 season with a record turnout at the Immokalee Regional Raceway wild card event. Mother Nature looked to be a challenge yet again this year as she forced crews to battle rain but the Immokalee and IHRA crew were able to pull through and get the doubleheader weekend completed.
Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway kicks off the month of May with their first full weekend of racing for the 2016 season.
The action starts Friday night, May 6 with the season opener for the Franco's Pizza Friday Night IHRA Drag Racing Series. It will be the first points race to be contested on Lancaster's recently resurfaced concrete 1/8-mile dragstrip. The start of the season had a slight delay as early-April weather caused resurfacing to be pushed back a few weeks.
