ONAWA, Iowa — The competition at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit Team Finals is serious, but the event is also about having fun.

Tracks and racers were recognized recently at the IHRA Division 6 (Midwest) Summit Team Finals at Onawa Dragway. 

ONAWA, Iowa — Kabren Jackson didn’t double up in Gamblers races at the IHRA Division 6 (Midwest) Summit Team Finals. Instead, he did one better.

The young racer swept Junior Dragster races on Thursday and Friday. He capped off the stellar performance by driving a red Chevy Nova to the win in Friday’s Mod (No Box) race.

THOMPSON, Ohio — Kuhnle Motorsports Park has reached a multi-year agreement with the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA).

The former Thompson Raceway Park, nicknamed “Ohio’s Thunder Capital,” has thrived since the Kuhnle Brothers purchased the facility and did major renovations. It is known for being one of the most racer-friendly venues in the country with an incredible 17 staging lanes. Recent purchases have expanded the overall property to almost 400 acres.

UNION GROVE, Wisc. — Great Lakes Dragaway added more to its rich history over the weekend with the IHRA Ironman Classic part of a big racing weekend.

Four drivers — Dion Degnitz (Top), Bob Moeller (Mod), Don Debaere (Street) and Ryder Vehring (Junior) took home IHRA Ironman trophies for their Saturday race wins.

ELK CREEK, Va. — The International Hot Rod Association announced today the IHRA Division 1 (Patriots) Summit Team Finals on September 21-23 has been moved to Elk Creek Dragway.

ONAWA, Iowa — Onawa Dragway raced to the home track victory Saturday in the IHRA Division 6 (Midwest) Summit Team Finals.

TIMBERLAKE, N.C. — Racers went home happy with $20,000 in winners’ purses handed out during the IHRA Ironman Fall Bash Challenge at Roxboro Motorsports Park on August 18-20.

HOLLAND, Texas — Little River Dragway is set to host the IHRA Division 4 Junior Team Finals presented by Vision Industrial Services on September 2-3.

FERRIS, Texas — Xtreme Raceway Park will once again serve as the host for the IHRA Division 4 (Renegades) Summit Team Finals on September 21-23.

Conveniently located off Interstate 45, Xtreme Raceway Park is the premier drag racing facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It’s a modern facility with multiple 82-inch televisions throughout the facilities, a great racing surface, a number of safety features, clean showers and reasonably-priced concessions.

MARION, S.D. — Four racers from South Dakota and one from Iowa took home trophies from the IHRA Ironman Classic at Thunder Valley Dragways.
