Veteran racers Shannon Brinkley and Russell Marr proved the class of the field over the weekend at the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 4 season opener at State Capitol Raceway as the pair of Texas natives took multiple wins in Louisiana.

Nitro Harley rider Steve Dorn was involved in an incident in the shutdown area during first round of eliminations during the IHRA Nitro Jam Southern Nationals in Bradenton, Florida this past weekend. Steve sustained multiple injuries during the accident and was transported from the scene where he remains hospitalized at this time.

The weekend will feature two complete races. Racing action will get underway on Friday with a test and tune followed by two separate races Saturday and Sunday.
